Essential Eligibility Criteria

In order to participate in this program, one:

Riders under 16 years of age must have the ability to wear a helmet.
All riding participants must wear protective footwear (closed toe shoes only, no sandals).
Must have the ability to follow visual and/or verbal instructions independently or with the assistance of a companion.
Must have the ability to mount and dismount the horse independently or with the assistance of a companion.
Must have the ability to remain in a seated and balanced position while on the horse independently or with the assistance of a companion.
Must have the ability to direct the horse’s speed and direction of travel independently or with the assistance of a companion.
Must have the ability to withstand exposure to the outdoors for a period of up to 2.5 hours
