

• Must have the ability to follow visual and/or verbal instructions independently or with the assistance of a companion.
• Must be able to withstand exposure to the outdoors for a period of up to 6 hours.
• Must be able to use or handle various items including fishing poles, beach toys and shells independently or with the assistance of a companion.
o Activities: Must be able to traverse sandy, wet and uneven terrain for up to 150 yards independently or with the assistance of a companion.
o Fishing Clinic – Must be able to hold a fishing pole and cast into a plastic target; 10 feet away, independently or with the assistance of a companion.
o Insectology- Must be able to hold magnifying lens independently or with the assistance of a companion to view insects at a close range.
o Sand Sculptures- Must be able to traverse sandy, wet and uneven terrain 10 feet onto the beach. You must be able to maneuver sand independently or with the assistance of a companion.
o Maze – Must be able to maneuver between sheets for 30 feet, individually or with the assistance of a companion. This maze is for children under the age of 8 years old.
o Children’s Art from Native materials: Painting and shell necklaces. – Must be able to hold paint brush independently or with the assistance of a companion. Must be able to string sea shells on a cord independently or with the assistance of a companion.
• Must be able to traverse sandy, wet and uneven terrain for up to 150 yards independently or with the assistance of a companion. There are two boardwalks leading to the event. All of the boardwalks are ramped. The longest is 50 feet in length and the other is 30 feet in length.
• Must be able to maneuver in close proximity to a crowd of people for up to 6 hours.
