Essential Eligibility Criteria
Ranger/Volunteer-led Nature Walks (By appointment or for special events)
In order to participate in this program, one:
- Must have the ability to follow visual and verbal instructions independently or with the assistance of companion.
- Must have the ability to withstand exposure to the outdoors for a period ranging from 45-120 minutes, depending on the walk.
- Must have the ability to traverse posted trail conditions over uneven terrain for between one-half and two and a half miles independently or with the assistance of a companion. (Trail conditions vary dramatically, depending on season, from being extremely wet to extremely sandy. Please ask direction to trails that can accommodate wheelchairs).
