Econfina River State Park

 About Econfina River State Park

The black waters weave about like ribbon.

A NOTE FROM THE MANAGER

Rob Lacy, Park Manager

Winter has arrived and it is a great time to visit Econfina River State Park!  Bring your canoe or kayak to enjoy a leisurely paddle along the placid water of the Econfina River. You may spot a variety of birds or other wildlife including white-tailed deer, turkey, bald eagle, Florida black bear and a vast array of migratory birds.

If you are an avid fisherman, there are plenty of speckled trout and and redfish located in this mysterious black water that winds its way through tidal creeks that flow southward to Apalachee Bay. To get an early start, rent one of the two small 'efficiency style' units available at the park. To make a reservation, please call Bonnie Kinsey at (850) 584-3026.

For more information on Econfina River please call the park office at (850) 922-6007.
