Econfina River State Park

 About Econfina River State Park

The black waters weave about like ribbon.

Rob Lacy, Park Manager

The Florida Park Service is currently updating our website and the following information will not be reflected under fees for Econfina River.  Effective November 1, 2014, the park will begin charging a $2.00/vehicle honor entrance fee. The boat ramp fee will no longer be charged.  Please use the honor box located next to the boat ramp in the day use area.  For hikers and cyclists wanting to utilize the trailheads along County Road 14, please visit the day use area first in order to pay fees before entering the trails.

Cooler weather has arrived and it is a great time to visit Econfina River State Park! Bring your canoe or kayak to enjoy a leisurely paddle along the placid water of the Econfina River. You may spot a variety of birds or other wildlife including white-tailed deer, turkey, bald eagle, Florida black bear and a vast array of song and shore birds.

If you are an avid fisherman, there are plenty of fish located in this mysterious black water that winds its way through tidal creeks that flow southward to Apalachee Bay.

For more information on Econfina River please call the park office at (850) 922-6007.
