Dudley Farm Historic State Park is beautiful during the summer months and has slowed down until the next school year's morning tours. Families and other groups also are welcome to experience a true 19th century Florida farm during the weekday or weekends to see a piece of Florida's agricultural past. We will once again be "Putting the Park to Bed" in August and September, so please plan your group tours before those months by calling the Dudley Farm phone number and leaving a message with your group name, your phone number, a requested date, and number of people for the tour. Our staff will get back with you soon."Putting the Park to Bed" is essential to the maintenance of the historic structures by allowing staff to concentrate on repairs not easily done during the busy school year.
Due to predicted spring and summer drought conditions, please be mindful of discarded cigarettes in the park because they may start a wildfire. All of our historic wooden structures are susceptible to fire and flame.

Welcome to Dudley Farm Historic State Park
Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, this park demonstrates the evolution of Florida farming from the 1850s to the mid-1940s-through three generations of the Dudley family. An authentic working farm, the homestead consists of eighteen buildings, including the family farmhouse with original furnishings, an 1880s kitchen outbuilding, a general store and post office, and a functional cane syrup complex. Park staff in period clothing perform daily chores, raising crops, and tending to livestock. The farm features seasonal cane grindings, corn shuckings, and heritage varieties of livestock and plants. Deer, wild turkeys, gopher tortoises, and bluebirds are still seen in the fields. The park has a visitor center, picnic area, and nature trail. Self-guided tours are available Wednesday through Sunday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Group tours can be reserved one month in advance. Smoking and pets are not allowed at the farmstead. Located seven miles west of I-75 on State Road 26 between Newberry and Gainesville.

Park is open Wednesday thru Sunday 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and the Farmstead is open Wednesday thru Sunday 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Park Fees
Admission Fees - $4.00/vehicle (up to 8 passengers).
Pedestrians, bicyclists, extra passengers, passengers in vehicles with a holder of an Annual Individual Entrance permit - Admission Fee $1.00 per person.
