Devil's Millhopper Geological State Park
About Devil's Millhopper Geological State Park
A NOTE FROM THE MANAGER
Winter is here! Winter is an excellent time to visit. This time of year much of the vegetation along the slopes of the sinkhole have died back for the winter and it is easy to see and hear the many small waterfalls cascading down the slopes of the sinkhole. The mornings may be crisp, but usually the afternoons are comfortable and are the ideal time to traverse the stairway.
Devil's Millhopper Geological State Park is located two miles northwest of Gainesville, on Millhopper Road.
Take I-75 exit 390 to C.R. 222. Go east 3.8 miles, turn left at 43rd Street. At the next traffic light, turn left onto Millhopper Road. Park entrance is located approximately 1,000 feet on the right.
