• "On Easter, this year (2003) My husband and I had a beautiful experience in this Park. (It was a busy day and there were no parking spaces left in the Park, so my Husband had to park a distance from the Park.) I didn’t know the Park layout at all and I was trying to find the group I was to meet. I looked pretty pitiful, 79 years old, carrying a basket and totally lost. (I had just had a Pacemaker put in.) Robert Steiger saw my plight and drove me and walked with me. I still couldn’t find my friends, so Bob went back to the park entrance, looked up my friends’ telephone number and called their cell phone to get instructions to the location. While driving back to the entrance, we fortunately saw my husband (80 and a heart patient) carrying baskets also, so Bob stopped and my husband rode along with us to the picnic area where our friends were. There is no way to describe this kind act. Thank you Bob."
