CHILDREN'S CANE POLE FISHING TOURNAMENT
De Leon Springs State Park
Date: October 5, 2013, 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Description:
Children 15 and under test their angling skills with the tried and true cane pole. All children must have a parent or adult with them to register. Trophies will be awarded in three different age groups for the largest , smallest, and the most fish caught. Everyone will win something, come join the fun! Bait will be provided by The Friends of De Leon Springs State Park Inc. The Park's goal is to provide access to the event for people of all abilities. Directions:
- De Leon Springs is located at the corner of Ponce de Leon and Burt Parks Road, west of U.S. 17.
- Take US Hwy 17 North from Deland for approximately six miles, following the state park signs. Turn left onto Ponce De Leon Boulevard and travel approximately one mile to the entrance to De Leon Springs State Park.
