Manager's Message
Summertime at Curry Hammock State Park mean lots of happy family campers. Calm winds, warm water, and our long sandy beach, bring many people into the park. Enjoy a picnic under a shelter only feet from the beach and Atlantic Ocean, kayak the shallow, crystal clear waters looking for nurse sharks and leopard rays, or sit on the beach doing nothing at all. Summer is a wonderful time to visit the Florida Keys and see part of "...the Real Florida".
- Ken Troisi, Park Manager
Welcome to Curry Hammock State Park
This park is made up of a group of islands in the Middle Keys, with public access to swimming, a playground, picnic tables, grills, and showers on the ocean side of Little Crawl Key. The hardwood hammocks found on these tropical islands support one of the largest populations of thatch palms in the United States. Mangrove swamps, seagrass beds, and wetlands provide vital habitats for tropical wildlife.
