Great for kids and adults! This Park Ranger/Volunteer led program allows the participants the opportunity to learn the disciplines of archaeology while sifting through soil removed from the dredged boat slip at the park. This is a very controlled program which is designed to recover tools and artifacts from the spoil. It is limited to groups of 24 people or less. The preferred number of participants is 12. This program is periodically offered to park visitors and can be arranged by school groups. The program is designed to last about two hours. To request this program or for more information call the park at (352) 795-3817.
