Cross Florida Greenway - Santos Bike Trails East

About Cross Florida Greenway - Santos Bike Trails East

International Mountain Bike Association's designated

Mickey Thomason

Now that the holidays are behind us it is a great time to get out on the Cross Florida Greenway to enjoy outdoor recreation on the almost 300 miles of horse, bike or hiking trails the Greenway has to offer. A day of mountain biking at Santos or hiking at Ross Prairie is a relaxing way to work off the egg nog and fruit cake that Aunt May brought for the holiday feast!

Fishing and paddling the rivers or reservoirs is also an awesome way to get outside for some Florida sunshine to enjoy our mild winters that everyone in the nation envies. Trophy bass and specks are biting this time of year as we wait for winter to recede into spring in a couple of months. Right now is the best camping Florida has to offer and with campgrounds at Shangri La, Santos, Rodman and Ross Prairie the Greenway has its fair share. Please try one out that you haven’t been to before or go back and enjoy an old favorite. Come and spend some time with us on the Greenway and let us know how you enjoy it in the New year!

Off 1-75 take exit 67 (Don Garlits Museum), head east on 484 and take 475 north then turn east onto 80th. The Santos trailhead parking lot and facilities are on the right just before you get to 441.
