Shangri-La Campground is located on the Marjorie Harris Carr Cross Florida Greenway. Popular with equestrians, these campground features 24 pull-thru sites. Horse wash racks are available. All sites are primitive and do not include electric and water. This campground has 21 sites, each suitable for RV and trailer use. Tents are not allowed. Campers have access to ADA-accessible restrooms with showers. A dump station is available. Pets are allowed. Reservations: Reservations may be made up to 11 months in advance through ReserveAmerica. Hiking/Nature TrailAn approximately 3.3-mile hiking trail in this area is part of the Florida Trail, blazed with orange and officially designated as part of the Florida National Scenic Trail. It is considered to be moderate in difficulty. The Florida Trail Association produces a detailed hiking guide and segment-by-segment maps that are very useful for hiking the entire Florida Trail. |

Horse/Equestrian TrailThis area of the Greenway features 7+ miles of equestrian trails including a main route of 3.28 miles and an alternate route of 2.15 miles. The 49th Avenue trailhead has a hardened parking area and water for horses. Once at the trailhead, proceed north and then west to 49th Avenue where an underpass provides a safe crossing. After passing under 49th Avenue, follow trail markers. Note that Florida law requires proof of current negative Coggins test for horses and that riders of age 16 and under wear helmets. |

ParkingThere is a parking area with a hardened surface at this trailhead with some room for equestrian trailers. |

PetsWell-behaved dogs and cats are allowed on the Greenway with a maximum six-foot, hand-held leash and owners must clean up after the animals as needed. |

Restroom FacilitiesRestrooms are available at the 49th Avenue trailhead. The water is non-potable so trail users should plan to carry drinking water. |
