BicyclingThere are approximately 11 miles of single track mountain biking trails in this section of the Greenway, offering challenging terrain in some areas. |

Hiking/Nature TrailLeading west from the Land Bridge is a 2.4-mile unpaved hiking trail which is a designated segment of the Florida National Scenic Trail. Another 2.1 miles of multi-use trail in this area have a lime rock surface. |

Horse/Equestrian TrailEquestrians can explore 8.7 miles of trail in this area to the west of the Land Bridge, which features the challenging terrain of the former sea-level ship canal “diggings.” There is parking space at the SW 49th Avenue trailhead for approximately five equestrian trailers and fresh water for horses, but not potable water. Note that Florida law requires proof of current negative Coggins test for horses and, while helmets are strongly recommended for all riders, state law requires that riders of age 16 and under wear helmets. |

ParkingThere is a parking area with a hardened surface at the SW 49th Avenue trailhead, with some room for equestrian trailers. |

PetsWell-behaved dogs and cats are allowed on the Greenway with a maximum 6-foot, hand-held leash and owners must clean up after the animals as needed. For detailed information on pet policy, see Florida State Parks pet policy. |

Picnic PavilionThis trailhead offers a covered picnic pavilion. |

Restroom FacilitiesAn ADA accessible, portable restroom is available at the SW 49th Avenue trailhead. |

Wildlife ViewingSandhill/Scrub species such as gopher tortoise, Sherman’s fox Ssuirrel, Florida scrub-jay and numerous other bird species can be observed in this area. |
