GUIDED CANOE TRIPS
Collier-Seminole State Park
Mid-December until Mid-April
Enjoy a guided canoe trip down the peaceful and scenic mangrove-lined Blackwater River. See birds, or possibly even a manatee. Your guide is a park naturalist, who is knowledgeable about the natural and cultural history of the area. You will go down the river and return; expect about three hours in the canoe.
Day trips are on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday starting at 9:00 am, from mid-December until mid-April. Call in advance to confirm dates and times. We request you arrive earlier for check-in and paddling orientation. During the full moon, there will be nighttime trips on the river under the light of the moon, which will start at 7:30 pm.
Reservations are required because of limited number of available canoes. We provide the canoes, paddles, and flotation vests. You provide anything you might need for the trip to protect from the sun, like sun screen or a hat for shade. Leave only ripples and take only photos.
The canoes seat two--Let us know if you need to be paired up with another paddler. The cost is $25.00 per person for the day trips, or $35.00 per person for the moon light trips. An additional fee of $5.00 per vehicle is also charged.
