Join Assistant Park Manager Bill Gruber at 11:00a.m. or 1:00p.m. on January 1, 2013 as we participate in Americas State Parks First Day Hikes. Meet at the ranger station and meander an easy path through the Island Trail spotting gopher tortoises, osprey and great horned owls. Discover the old treasures which make our island so special. Please bring your bug spray, water, and closed toed shoes. Pets are not allowed on the ferry or on the beach.
