Cabins

Six, two bedroom cabins are located in a shady oak hammock near Blue Spring, a designated manatee refuge. Cabins accommodate up to six people. One bedroom is furnished with a double bed. The second bedroom is furnished with two single beds. A sleeper sofa in the living room converts to a double bed. Cabins are equipped with a gas fireplace (for use November through March), central heating and cooling, bathroom, fully equipped kitchen with stove and refrigerator, screened porch, outdoor grill and picnic table. Linens, pillows, blankets and towels, cooking and eating utensils are provided. Linens are not changed daily. Two vehicles per cabin are permitted.

For the guest's relaxation, televisions and phones are not provided.

There is a minimum two nights stay in cabins on weekends and holidays, either Friday and Saturday night, or Saturday and Sunday nights. A single Friday or Saturday night may be reserved only if the following Saturday or Sunday night is already reserved.

Cabin Rentals: $95.00 per night, plus tax.

Camping, Full Facility

This campground has 51 campsites which are located in the sand pine scrub and are within walking distance to the spring. Each site is equipped with a picnic table, water, electricity and a grill. A dump station is available in the park. Pets are welcome in camping area. Blue Spring State Park also offers the Bedtime Story Camper Lending Library of picture books for campers ages four to nine. Ask the Ranger Station about how to check out a book.

Maximum RV length = 40 ft.

Canoeing & Kayaking

Concession & Restaurant

Hiking/Nature Trail

The same pristine beauty enjoyed by Florida's earliest residents can still be seen today. A self-guided boardwalk leads visitors through a lush hammock to Blue Spring.

Interpretive Exhibit

Passive Interpretive exhibits are available in the Thursby House and on Kiosks along the Spring Run boardwalk and trail. Interpretive programs on manatees are offered daily during the manatee season (November 15th-March 1st). Special programs are offered to schools and organized groups upon request.

Picnicking

Blue Spring State Park offers two separate picnic areas throughout the park. There are covered pavilions with grills located at these areas for larger groups. One of these areas also has a large covered barbecue pit, and can be reserved, for a fee. Contact the park office at (386) 775-3663 for details.  Consumption of alcoholic beverages is prohibited.

Scuba Diving

Blue Spring offers swimming and scuba diving in a crystal clear, 72 degree spring run. Scuba divers must register at the entrance station between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3 p.m., with an up-to-date certification card and a partner. Swimming or diving with the manatees is NOT permitted.

Tubing

Park visitors enjoy tubing the crystal clear waters of Blue Spring run. The entry point is just downstream from the spring boil, and the takeout is approximately a quarter mile downstream at the swim dock.
