Bring the whole family out for a fun-filled afternoon, weekend, or longer time.  Big Lagoon State Park offers several opportunities for outdoor recreation, including: picnicking, hiking trails, canoe and kayak rentals, fishing, and a boat launch.  If you are feeling adventurous, try climbing our three story observation tower to catch an offshore breeze while overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway and the National Seashore. If you are looking for something a little more relaxing, bring your favorite beach/lawn chair out and watch the various shorebirds play and small waves lap the sand.

 

Rental pavilions and a new state of the art amphitheater are also available for large gatherings such as reunions, weddings and birthday parties. Please call the Ranger Station at (850) 492-1595 for pricing and availability.

Need to get away from it all?  Why not celebrate the outdoors by reserving a site in our campground and gather your family around a campfire for an evening meal and marshmallows. Camping reservations are only a mouse click away. Utilize the link provided on our web page or call 1-800-326-3521.

Take advantage of the Gateway to the Great Florida Birding Trail here at Big Lagoon. Migrating birds are now passing through; others are here year-round. If you would like to borrow some binoculars, stop by the Ranger station and check out a pair. These binoculars are provided by corporate sponsors and the Florida Wildlife Commission to help make your visit more enjoyable.
