Now is the perfect time with the cooler autumn weather to enjoy a family picnic or family reunion in one of our large picnic shelters nestled under the trees along the high banks of the Withlacoochee River. The crystal clear water of this first magnitude spring is still a popular spot for a swim, or explore the underwater caves if you are a certified cave diver. Come out spend an hour or the day, you’ll be glad you did! Welcome to Madison Blue Springs State Park
Located in one of Florida´s newest state parks, this crystal clear, first magnitude spring is a popular spot for swimming. About 82 feet wide and 25 feet deep, the spring bubbles up into a limestone basin along the west bank of the Withlacoochee River. Scenic woodlands of mixed hardwoods and pines create a picturesque setting for picnicking, paddling, and wildlife viewing. Madison Blue Spring is approximately 10 miles east of Madison on the west bank of the Withlacoochee River. From Madison, drive east on State Road 6 to the Withlacoochee River. Turn south on the west side of the bridge at the park sign. The entrance to the spring is 525 feet south of the highway.

Open 365 days a year from 8:00 a.m. to sunset.
Driving Directions
Madison Blue Spring is approximately 10 miles (16 km) east of Madison on the west bank of the Withlacoochee River. From Madison, drive east on SR 6 to the Withlacoochee River. Turn south on the west side of the bridge at the park sign. Spring is 525 ft (160 m) south of the highway.
Park Fees
Admission Fees (no diving) - $4.00 per vehicle (up to 8 people).
$1.00 per pedestrian or bicycle. No admission fee for children under 6 years of age.
All State Park Passes are honored.
Diving Fee - $10.00 per person (includes entrance fee). Cavern and cave diving only, no open water diving. All cavern divers must be accompanied by a certified cave diver or instructor. All divers must show proof of certification prior to diving, solo diving is not permitted.
