Fort Cooper State Park Photos

A Primitive Campsite where numerous tall oaks and a few pines provide shade. There are several picnic tables, a fire ring and barbeque grill. This is a partial reproduction of the Fort wall.  The wall is made of pine tree logs that stand about twelve feet tall and have points on the top. Lake Holathlikaha.  There is an oak tree with Spanish Moss draped from its large branches and resurrection fern growing in several places on the tree.

Entrance sign to Fort Cooper.  The sign is brown with yellow lettering.  The Department of Environmental Protection logo is in the lower left corner. A howitzer cannon is being fired by two military men dressed in 1830's period white summer uniforms. Smoke and flames are coming from the cannon. Two Sandhill Cranes standing at the edge of the water.  They are light grey and white with red behind their bill and around their yellow eyes.
