Testimonials for Big Shoals State Park

• My husband, 11 year old daughter, and I set out early on a Wednesday morning to hike the beautiful Big Shoals State Park. Our journey began on the 3.4 mile paved Woodpecker trail. It was most certainly a comfortable walk with the sound of nature and wildlife all around us, my daughter fell in love with it all. We went on to walk the Big Shoals trail which I must admit was a bit of a challenge for us city folk but my gosh the awesome view from so far above the river made the hike all worth it. I most enjoyed the peace, quiet, and time spent with my family. By journeys end we hiked at least 10 miles. This was the first we had visited White Springs. We still have many miles of trails to explore yet so we will be back. =)
